Year of the Apple Art Contest
Year of the Apple Art Contest sponsored by Corteva Agriscience

The Washington Apple Education Foundation Year of the Apple Art Contest was created to recognize and award the artistic talents of high school aged students living in the primary tree fruit producing regions of Washington state.
Annually, three students are awarded in the contest annually. One grand prize winner receives a $1,000 check and has his / her artwork reproduced on a large format poster calendar distributed by Corteva into offices throughout central Washington. One second place recipient will receive a $500 check and a third place winner will receive $250. Additionally, a $150 gift card is provided to each of the students’ high school art departments.
The deadline to participate in 2025 is May 5th. The competition is now OPEN!!
Davis High School Junior Takes Top Prize in WAEF Art Contest
Davis High School Junior Ivette Valencia Montes is the Grand Prize winner in the 29th Annual Washington Apple Education Foundation (WAEF) Year of the Apple (YOTA) Art Contest sponsored by Corteva Agriscience. Ivette received a check for $1,000 for her color mixed media piece titled Golden Days of Harvest. Her artwork will be published on the 2025 Corteva Agriscience calendar poster.
The second place awardee is sophomore Lucy Korzh from Eastmont High School. The third place awardee is sophomore Anna Hirsch from Wenatchee High School.
