Team WAEF at Bloomsday

Team WAEF entered our inaugural Bloomsday event in 2011 with ten great participants that included current and former WAEF scholarship recipients, members of the WAEF board of directors and staff, and Foundation supporters.  Together we raised enough money to fund two additional scholarships awarded to students from the home communities of our top two student fundraisers.  This year our goal is to grow membership of Team WAEF to 50!

Please join us by registering as an individual member of Team WAEF or organizing your workplace, group of friends, peers, etc. to join as a group.  Current and former scholarship recipients raising the highest number of pledges will be honored with scholarships in their names awarded to graduating seniors from their high school alma maters.  Business teams raising the most money and getting the highest number of team members will be recognized with WAEF scholarships in their company names.

Bloomsday 2012 occurs on Sunday, May 6th.  Registration for the run (must be completed separately from Team WAEF membership registration) opens in January.  $15 registration fee is active until April 22nd.

Thank you 2011 Team WAEF runners, walkers and donors!  With your efforts we are awarding two additional scholarships this year!

Current and former WAEF scholarship recipients competed to raise the most money through pledges.  The students that raised the most received the honor a scholarship awarded in their name to a graduating student from their high school alma mater.  Guillermo Espinosa, 2009 graduate of Cascade High School, and Kailan Dunn, 2003 graduate of Naches Valley High School, will each get to present scholarships this spring.
