2011 Year of the Apple Contest

Mariah Elgin, Tacoma, Washington, is this year's Grand Prize Winner in the Year of the Apple Art Contest presented by Dow AgroSciences. Mariah's winning entry, Red Delicious, is a drawing of a sliced red delicious apple. Mariah is an 8th grader at Meeker Middle School in Tacoma.

In total, seven students shared in the $1650 prize money.
